Patchy fog before Thursday snow

Some patchy fog will lend itself to slick conditions and some flurries this morning as dreary conditions continue. Light winds from SW 2-7 and highs in the mid 20's to 30 for Pocatello. 22 in Jackson. Fog may freeze on windshields and make frozen areas even more slick. Drive with lights on low beam and with caution for slick spots. Out the door with 17 degrees and returning to there with overnight lows.

Thursday: Snow on the move for the afternoon and slightly warmer with snow coverage at 33. 1-2" possible into Friday, more for eastern highlands and 3-6 possible for ridges. Timing of storm may carry snow coverage into early Friday, adding to accumulations. Cold and clear into weekend with highs in the 20's under cold sunshine.
