Wyoming unemployment rate drops two tenths
Wyoming’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 4.5 percent in March to 4.3 percent in April. According to the Research and Planning section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, most county unemployment rates followed their normal seasonal patterns. Teton County’s unemployment rate increased from 2.8 percent in March to 4.9 percent in April as the end of the ski season resulted in job losses. While the unemployment rate fell in all 23 counties, year-to-date, the state’s labor force also fell in 13 counties. The agency suggested that some of the people who were unemployed a year ago have either dropped out of the labor force or moved out of the state.
