WYDOT working to clean up Teton Pass crash

Wyoming Department of Transportation crews are working to clean up the wreckage of a tractor-trailer that crashed on Teton Pass last December. The tractor-trailer was eastbound on Highway 22 with a load of potatoes when it struck the guardrail, went over the guardrail, and then down the embankment near milepost 8. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was cited for driving an overweight vehicle in violation of the Teton Pass trailer closure and for not maintaining a lane. Because of snow accumulation, crews have not been able to clean up the wreckage until now. Crews are using a large wrecker that looks similar to a crane. The work is expected to take a few days.
