Juveniles charged in Shelley vehicle burglaries
Shelley Police believe they have stopped a rash of vehicle burglaries. Over the past couple of weeks, Chief Rod Mohler said 13 cars have had valuables stolen from them. The first wave of thefts last week focused on one neighborhood on the east side of town and the latest on cars parked on the west side of town. Two juveniles have been arrested and he says a third may also be involved. In every case, the vehicles were left unlocked. Stolen items included keys, purses, cameras, wallets and other merchandise. The Chief says the best way to prevent car burglaries, even in a small town, is by locking the doors and keeping valuables out of plain sight.
