Pocatello/ChubbuckSchool District revises 2017-18 calendar
The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District Board of Trustees adopted a revised 2017-18 school calendar during their board work session Tuesday.
The changes made to the calendar adds two student instructional days back into the calendar as agreed on by the Pocatello Education Association and the District.
The changes are as follows:
Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21 were changed from holidays to regular school days. The Thanksgiving holiday was changed to Wednesday, November 22 through Friday, November 24.
The revision occurred because the District had not reached a contract settlement with the Pocatello Education Association, who represents our teachers, prior to the beginning of the school year.
A negotiated agreement was reached September 1.
