Marshall Public Library closed October 23 for reshelving

Thanks to a $30,000 donation from the Friends of the Marshall Public Library, the books that call the Marshall Public Library home will soon get a new place to spend their days between checkouts.

Recently, the group presented library staff with the money for new shelving for the library’s growing catalog.

“Thank you to the Friends for their unwavering support of the library and our mission,” said Marshall Public Library Director Eric Suess. “Patrons will notice the relocation of some collections to other places in the library and the additional space will allow us to expand almost every facet of our adult collections.”

On October 23, the library will be closed to the public to allow staff to transfer the books to the new shelves.

The library will reopen October 24 at 9 a.m.
