UPDATE: IFPD identifies teen who threatened self-harm
UPDATE (1/23/18) 9:50 pm.: Idaho Falls Police have released the name of a missing teen they have been looking for since yesterday morning.
Police say 16-year-old Matthew Jedediah “Jed” Hall left home at approx. 6:00 a.m. on Monday and left a note threatening self-harm.
UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: Idaho Falls Police reports they do not have any updates at this time.
Officials appreciate all efforts to spread the word and are confident if they can locate the vehicle, they are very likely to find the boy.If you locate a silver, hatch-back Nissan Versa with license plate number 8B EF732, do not attempt to approach the vehicle or individual, but rather call the Idaho Falls Police Department immediately at (208) 529-1200.
UPDATE 12:08 p.m.: Officials report the shelter in place at all five schools, Ethel Boyes, Fox Hollow, Westside, Eagle Rock and Skyline High School, has been lifted.

The Idaho Falls Police Department is seeking your assistance in locating a silver, hatch-back Nissan Versa with license plate number 8B EF732.
Officials said the vehicle is driven by a high school teenage boy who is distraught and threatening self-harm.
According to IFPD, the teenager is armed with firearms, but officials do not believe he is a threat to the public at this time.
Ethel Boyes, Fox Hollow, Westside, Eagle Rock and Skyline High School are in a shelter in place. This means the students will continue working in the classroom, but access to the building has been shut off.
If you locate the vehicle matching this description, do not attempt to approach the vehicle or individual, but rather call the Idaho Falls Police Department immediately at (208) 529-1200.
