IFPD arrests another wanted person after he tries to flee
The Idaho Falls Police department continues to serve warrants for wanted people in the city.
Thursday afternoon officers served a felony warrant at a home in the 600 block of Water Avenue for 33-year-old Adam Wise.
The warrant was issued for failure to appear before the court on original charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and resisting and obstructing officers.
When police knocked on the door Wise jumped on the roof and started to run back and forth across the roof as officers yelled at him to stop.
Wise refused, before jumping down and running away.
Officers chased after him yelling for him to stop or they would use a Taser on him, he kept running as he was trying to jump over a fence an officer fired his Taser and hit him.
Wise was taken into custody.
Police say Wise was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Adam D. Wise of Idaho Falls was arrested on the felony warrant and police requested additional charges:
– One count of resisting or obstructing officers;
– One count of possession of paraphernalia; and
– Another count of resisting or obstructing officers (from an incident on May 11, 2018, when Wise fled from police during a traffic stop).
