Bengal Bridge program doing community outreach in Old Town

This afternoon, dozens of incoming ISU freshmen spent some time doing various community driven tasks in Old Town.

Painting sidewalks, signs and even putting paw prints in parking lots were among the activities the nearly 200 students did.

As part of the Bengal Bridge program, these students get a chance to go out and explore parts of the community that they might not otherwise see.

The program is a summer session of sorts, that allows the students to take part in credit hours while also having help to answer the questions many incoming freshmen have. It is a way for them to ease into college living with the assistance of those who have gone through it before.
