UPDATE: Red Road Fire 80% contained
UPDATE 7/17/18 9:20 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management reports that as of 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night the Red Road Fire was 80% contained.
A dozer-line has been built around the fire and crews hope for 100% containment sometime Monday Morning.
UPDATE 7/17/18 3:00 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management reports the Red Road Fire has grown to 4,353 acres.
A 20 person Type 2 Centennial Crew along with 60 other firefighters are fighting the fire.
Officials estimate containment for sometime Tuesday.
UPDATE 7/17/18 9:30 a.m.: The Bureau of Land Management reports the Red Road Fire has grown to 2,500 acres and is zero percent contained.
The fire started Monday north of St. Anthony Sand Dunes and was caused by a lightning strike.
The BLM said the fire does not cause any immediate threat to structures and is burning in heavy, decadent grass and brush.
Eight engines, one water tender and two dozers are working with the Teton Fire Department on fighting the fire.
Additional resources have been ordered.
Officials do not have an estimated containment date.

Fire crews are working to contain a wildfire that started Monday evening in Fremont County.
The Red Road Fire, near the Sand Dunes, is at 250 acres and growing.
U.S. Forest Service and BLM firefighters are battling the brush fire. The public is being asked to stay away from the area.
The Grassy Ridge Road north of the St Anthony Sand Dunes is closed.
BLM says the cause is lightning and they expect full containment around 10 p.m., Tuesday night.
