Devil’s Hole Fire fully contained
UPDATE 8:00 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management reports the Devil’s Hole Fire has been fully contained.
Resources will continue to enhance fire line along the perimeter and mop up interior islands of heat.
UPDATE 7/26/18 10:55 a.m.: After an aerial mapping Thursday morning, the Bureau of Land Management estimates the Devil’s Hole Fire is 2,338 acres.
It is 80 percent contained, and officials estimate for Thursday at 10 p.m.
The fire was caused by lightning.
UPDATE 7/25/18 7:45 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management said firefighters will continue to work on the Devil’s Hole fire through the night.
The BLM said the fire is pushing to the northeast and no immediate structures are threatened.
The fire is burning in grass and bush.
UPDATE 4:50 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management reports the Devils Hole Fire is estimated at 5,000 acres.
There is no estimated containment.
The fire is 10 miles north of Hamer and 8 miles southeast of Dubois near Jones Crossing.
The fire was caused by lightning.
10 engines and two dozers are fighting the fire. BLM has also ordered two single-engine air tankers and a helicopter.
Structures are in the area but are not immediately threatened.

The Bureau of Land Management is responding to a report of fire smoke.
Five engines and a dozer have been dispatched to the fire about four miles east of Hamer and burning towards Interstate 15.
