Police investigate walker found hanging from falls

UPDATE: 2:45 p.m. Neither the Idaho Falls Police Department Drone team nor the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office found any evidence of a person in the river.

And, police have not received any information that anyone may have fallen into the river.

Police are asking the public for any information about how the walker ended up in the river, whether any have been lost or stolen, or if anyone has information about any missing persons.

ORIGINAL STORY:
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reports someone reported they saw a walker (a device for use for support while walking) hanging from the falls near Quality Inn on the Broadway Bridge around 11:00 a.m.

The Idaho Falls Police drone was called out and was deployed at 11:45 a.m. to see if they could find anything and make sure no one is hurt.

Crews haven’t found anything as of 12:25 p.m.
