Scholarship event planned at Thunder Ridge

It was the first day of classes for the freshman at Thunder Ridge High School today. This makes it the first day ever for the new high school.

This Wednesday Bonneville School District 93 is hosting a scholarship information night at Thunder Ridge for students and parents.

The event is open to anyone in the community who wants to know the best way to go about applying for college and scholarships.

“The students get a lot of misinformation and they could miss out on opportunities. Also what happens is with the internet and the scholarship search engines and things that are out there, our students tend to get overwhelmed with information early on. So, when they need to know the information the kind of quit looking for it,” Melissa McConnell, College and Career Advisor.

Everyone is invited no matter what school district. It is this Wednesday, August 29th at the performing arts center at Thunder Ridge at 7 p.m.

Monday was the first day for freshman and the rest of the student body joins them tomorrow.
