Inergy takes part in state trade trip to Canada

As part of a larger group of Idaho businesses, members from Inergy of Pocatello, took a trip to Canada with Governor Butch Otter, in an effort to build on already existing trade relations.

Canada is Idaho’s largest trade partner and the trip allowed members of Inergy and other companies to meet and form connections with a new and expanding market.

CEO Sean Luangrath said he found the experience to be extremely valuable and would recommend that all Idaho businesses attempt to get in on a trip of this kind.

“I highly recommend this program to every company in Idaho because there are resources here, through the Department of Commerce, to help grow companies in Idaho by expanding to overseas markets,” Luangrath explained.

This wasn’t the first time Inergy had been on one of these trips. In fact, earlier this year they went on another trip backed by the Department of Commerce, to Mexico.

Luangrath said that it was this trip that helped them punch their ticket to Canada.

Now, having traveled both north and south of the border, Luangrath said these trips have really helped expand the reach of business and forged new connections for the future.
