Idaho Elks Association donates $265,000 to Preston medical rehab center

The Idaho State Elks Association made a big donation to a local medical center.

On Friday, the Elks group donated $265,000 to the new Franklin County Medical Center rehabilitation center in Preston.

The center helps patients with things like regaining use of their limbs, sports training for athletes, and occupational and speech therapy. The center also works with local schools to offer therapy services to students who need it.

The new medical rehab center is located on State Street and is 4,500 square feet, which is six times more space than the old location had.

The Elks Association said it made the donation because it fits with its mission of community involvement and improving healthcare across the state.
