Accused killer withdraws motion to change guilty plea

After filing a motion last week to withdraw his guilty plea in the killing of his ex-girlfriend, attorneys for Erik Ohlson filed a new motion this week to withdraw that motion.

Judge Bruce Pickett has accepted Ohlson’s negotiated guilty pleas. Teton County Prosecutor Billie Siddoway said the Judge has now scheduled a two-day sentence hearing for May 9th and 10th in Driggs.

Ohlson has been in custody at the Madison County Jail since his July 2016 arrest. He is charged with the shooting death of Jennifer Nalley and her unborn child at her home near Driggs.

Under Ohlson’s plea agreement, Siddoway agreed to withdraw the death penalty as a sentencing option, after conferring with the victim’s family.
