Cheyenne animal shelter closes after COVID-19 infections
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Cheyenne Animal Shelter has closed to the public after staffers tested positive for COVID-19.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports the shelter’s Sunday announcement said quarantine procedures left the shelter with a staff shortage.
Shelter pets will continue to be cared for during the closure.
Officials plan on re-starting preventative measures like mask wearing upon reopening to ensure staffers stay healthy.
