American Falls Teacher Charged With Sexual Battery

Former American Falls High School teacher’s aide Zenna Galeria has been officially charged with felony sexual battery.

Galeria has not been arrested because of her cooperation, officers said. She will be served a summons for her arraignment on August 15.

Galeria was relieved of her position with the American Falls School District after the results of an investigation by the Power County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Jim Jeffries said the school district asked him to look into Galeria’s relationship with a 17-year-old male student.

The alleged relationship started with text messaging and ended in something physical, Jeffries said.

Jeffries made an official request to the Power County prosecutor’s office last week that Galeria be charged.
