International Dance Festival Under Way
If you’re a dance lover or just someone who enjoys musical entertainment, the Idaho International Dance and Music Festival in Rexburg is going on right now.
More than 300 dancers and musicians come from around the globe every year for this gala to share the excitement of their native dances and music.
These performances are alive with colorful costumes, exotic instruments and stirring rhythms.
Coming from places like Columbia, Belgium and Russia, many of these dancers have never been to America.
“There’s so many countries, so many different people, so many different things and everybody should experience those things at least once in their lifetime,” said Juan Giralto.
The festival has three days left. On thursday, from 9-12 a.m. is Rexburg Youth Culture Day with a matinee performance at 2 p.m.
Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. are the gala performances.
Closing ceremonies will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Smith Park.
