Yellowstone Fire Grows, Another Is Suppressed
Yellowstone National Park officials say a wildfire near the eastern shore of Yellowstone Lake has grown to 75 acres while another fire has been suppressed because of its proximity to the Gallatin National Forest.
Officials said Sunday that six other fires are being allowed to burn.
One of those fires is 15 to 18 acres. The others are an acre or smaller, including the one that was supressed.
All the fires but one were caused by lightning. Officials say they haven’t determined the cause of the other.
