Rigby Man Charged With Aggravated Assault, Stalking
A 47-year-old Rigby man will be arraigned Tuesday on felony charges of aggravated assault and stalking.
Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jeff Edwards says Rafael Galvan allegedly followed his ex-wife to work at 477 W. 65th S. at about 2:45 p.m. Monday. Investigators say Galvan pulled a gun on his wife and threatened to kill her if she didn’t get into his vehicle, but Lucina Galvan, 47, made it safely into her workplace.
Deputies say they were alerted by a witness who reported seeing a man standing by a car with a gun.
The sheriff’s office says Galvan was arrested at his sister’s home in Jefferson County at around 8 p.m. Monday.
