ISP Seizes 4.3 Pounds Of Pot
Idaho State Police say the agency is working hard to keep drugs out of Idaho, and this weekend, it’s working.
At around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, ISP officer Travis Nalder pulled over a driver for speeding on I-86 near American Falls. The traffic stop was routine, but what Nalder didn’t expect was to find 4.3 pounds of marijuana in the car.
But he did, and 22-year-old Justin Henry of Nampa was arrested and taken to Power County jail. Idaho State Police seized the pot, and Nalder said, it’s proof that their hard work is paying off.
“We do put a lot of time and training into aggressively keeping drugs off of Idaho’s roadways, and I think this is a good sign that our time and efforts is successful,” Nalder said.
The marijuana will eventually be taken to an incinerator in Utah to be destroyed.
