Anti-Abortion Protest And Counter Protests Continue In Jackson
Jackson Hole United has won Jackson Town Council approval to place banners and yard signs for the stated purpose of “standing for civility, compassion and love, united to protect our community and children.” The local grass roots organization told the Council Thursday their group includes both pro-life and pro-choice citizens of Jackson. The group has launched demonstrations in response to anti-abortion protests by “Operation Save America” in the Town Square this week.
Teton County spokesperson Charlotte Reynolds says local law enforcement has responded to numerous public inquiries and complaints regarding the protest activity and its use of graphic images on protest signs.
Jackson Police personnel have temporarily closed three parking spaces on the west side of the Town Square to help reduce potential conflicts. The O.S.A. Protests are expected to continue through Sunday.
