Fort Hall Man Pleads Guilty To Reservation Robbery
A 22-year-old Fort Hall man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Pocatello to an armed hold-up on the Shoshone-Bannock Indian Reservation. In a plea agreement, U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson Pamela Bearg said, Jasper Tendoy admitted he entered a residence with the intent of robbing his victim.
In that agreement, Tendoy said he demanded money and when the victim refused, Tendoy pulled out what appeared to be an assault rifle and pointed it at the victim. The rifle was later determined to be a BB gun. The victim gave Tendoy $57.
Tendoy, who is an enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe, could face up to 10 years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release. Sentencing is set for Aug. 7 before Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill in Pocatello.
