Operation Facelift competition is underway
It’s all part of operation facelift. Nine communities in eastern Idaho, including Idaho Falls, are competing to give the best “face-lift” to their city.
Volunteeers will spend the next 12 days fixing up the City Refuge, “Work It” Scrubz, and the Joshua D. Smith Foundation buildings. CRSA architecture provided the designs. Pacific West Construction and FASTSIGNS are supplying materials. Thousands of dollars have been donated to help the cause.
Lori Priest, the Chair of Idaho Fall’s Operation Facelift said she has the team that can win the competition.
“And of course, we want to win. We have a great team of architects, and construction workers and people that want to make a difference, so I think we’re in the competition.” said Priest.
Mayor Jared Fuhriman also cheered on the volunteers restoring downtown Idaho Falls.
“Now let’s go pain the town!” declared Mayor Jared Fuhriman.
Operation Facelift started Monday and ends June 22. If you would like to volunteer, please call Priest at 705-8401.
