Firefighters gain upper hand on range fire
Bureau of Land Management and INL firefighters have surrounded a small range fire about 15 to 20 miles west of Idaho Falls off US Highway 20. About 20 firefighters expected to contain the 11 acre fire at around 5 pm Tuesday.
The fire was human caused. Early reports indicated it was believed started by a car that caught fire on the highway around 10:30 Tuesday morning.
According to BLM spokesman Jason Fallon, one person was transported for treatment of minor injuries. That person was not a firefighter.
