Security officer charged for filing false report
A Grand Teton Lodge security officer faces charges of filing a false report in connection with a reported assault June 7th. Grand Teton National Park rangers and National Park Service special agents said Christopher Dascoli of Lee, Massachusetts falsely claimed he was physically assaulted during a loud party at an employee residential area of Jackson Lake Lodge. The guard was transported to St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson, Wyoming where he was treated for significant injuries.
Officials say their investigation determined the assault claim was unfounded. Dascoli was charged with interfering with an agency function.
At the time of the alleged assault, Crimestoppers put up a thousand dollar reward for information. The award will not be used.
