Main Street Buzz is all about Madrigals
In today’s Main Street Buzz, a Shelley restaurant is welcoming new and old customers back through its doors. Lorena Camora opened Madrigals back in 2004, where she attracted many customers with the rich, unique flavors of her Mexican cuisine. Due to an illness, Camora had to close up her restaurant for three years. But customers always pushed her to reopen Madrigals and three weeks ago, she did.
“I was a little afraid being closed for three years and I was a little afraid to come back but I’m real excited about it.” said Camora.
And old customers were excited to be back, especially Jason Nulph.
“I use to come here in high school and eat lunch here and seeing them reopen — I thought it would be good to come back.” said Nulph.
And around the corner from the restaurant is Madrigals’s Convenience Store and the new addition, Madrigals’s Tortilla Shop, where customers can buy freshly made tortillas.
Madrigals restaurant is open from 10a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Madrigal’s Tortilla Shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5p.m. Monday through Saturday
