Idaho Falls fire causes $250,000 in damage

A fire caused about $250,000 in damage to a home at 3669 S. Holmes at 9:45 pm Thursday. Idaho Falls Fire Department Division Chief Dorin Howard said all occupants of the home escaped unharmed.

The fire was contained to a large attic space with difficult access. Because of the type of construction, he said, the fire had significant time to burn.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
