Idaho State Football Opens Falls Camp

POCATELLO, Idaho — The Idaho State football team opened fall practice Tuesday afternoon with its first session at Holt Arena.

The Bengals enter their second full season under head coach Mike Kramer, going just 2-9 overall in 2011.

Idaho State begins the year with no APR penalties, giving the Bengals a full allotment of scholarships and a full practice schedule as they enter the 2012 season.

One battle to watch in camp will come from the running back position as sophomores Aaron Prier and Danny McSurdy enter camp as the No. 1 and No. 2 backs on the squad.

Wide receiver Cameron Richmond also returns to the Bengals in 2012 after suffering a season-ending injury in the first game last season.

Idaho State will not have two-a-day practices this fall.
