Human remains found at Fort Hall construction site

A Fort Hall official confirmed that a number of human bones were uncovered during work on a sewer line in the reservation last month.

The Shoshone-Bannock tribes are not releasing more information yet on the number of bones, age, or the gender.

A tribal official said, “When we find any kind of funeral areas, it’s something we take under supreme caution. It’s very sensitive for our people.”

The tribe said it will likely release more information within the next few days.
