Angry BYUI student arrested

A St. Anthony man is being held after a disturbance on the BYU Idaho campus in Rexburg this afternoon. Rexburg Police say the man became very angry about some undisclosed issue involving the university and attempted to reach the school’s administrative offices around 3 p.m.

Campus Security blocked his access and summoned police for assistance.Soon after, Rexburg police found the man at the Maverik convenience store on North 2nd East, wrestled him to the ground and took him into custody.

The unidentified man was being held on charges of disturbing the peace and delaying and obstructing a police officer.

No further information was available, and investigation is continuing.
