Missing Monteview woman found
A Monteview woman who had been missing since Sunday afternoon was found on Monday night.
Monica Roundy was sunburnt, dehydrated and delirious when she was found, police said. She was found six miles from where she was last seen.
Roundy’s husband first reported her missing on Monday afternoon. He told police Monica is mentally impaired and has a history of wandering off, but she normally came back.
Jefferson County deputies along with family and friends were searching a 10 mile radius of where she was last seen.
County Sheriff Blair Olsen had Search and Rescue crews on standby for Tuesday morning in case they were needed, a police spokeswoman said.
