Counterfeit bills passed in Rexburg

Rexburg police are looking for three people who passed 15 counterfeit $20 bills to three different merchants this week.Capt. Randy Lewis said the Rexburg Walmart accepted four of the phony bills Monday,but did not report them.

The store reported six more of the counterfeits on Wednesday.Also victimized on the 12th were Sally’s Beauty Supply and Kmart.Lewis said the three used the bills to purchase a wide variety of items.

The first person is described as a bald-headed male Hispanic wearing a black T-shirt, the second a female Hispanic wearing blue jeans, a black tank top and hair in a bun style, and the third a white female wearing a black tank top and dark glasses.

Lewis said the three were observed getting into a black Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix with Idaho license plates.
