U-turn on I-15 leads to accident

Idaho State Police say an accident occurred Friday when a driver tried to turn around on Interstate 15.

Christina Kolodziej, 43, of Emmett, was driving a 2006 Ford Escape north near the junction with I-86.

At about 12:30 p.m., when Kolodziej missed the exit for I-86, the ISP said she turned left to turn around on the Interstate. Kolodziej’s vehicle was struck in the side by 2004 Nissan Altima driven by Robert Grannis, 68, of Sisters, Ore.

Kolodziej, Grannis, and Grannis’ passenger, Betty Grannis, 67, also of Sisters, were transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

All involved were wearing seat belts.
