Bomb squad investigates two suspicious packages at Ammon Walmart

Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Ammon Walmart following a report of two suspicious packages that were found in the store.

The Idaho Falls Regional Bomb Squad was called out to investigate, due to an uptick in bomb threats in eastern Idaho, according to deputy Tony Glenn with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.

The bomb squad determined that the packages were empty.

The incident is still under investigation.
