ISU makes list of most military friendly schools
A national organization says for our men and women in uniform there are few places friendlier than Idaho State University.
For the fourth consecutive year, ISU has made it onto the list of “Military Friendly Schools”
Luke Cleaver spent years in the army, including two tours in Iraq and is now a student at ISU. He said he wasn’t surprised to see the university make the list.
“I definitely think it’s accurate. They’ve set up an area where all veterans are welcome from all ages and groups,” Cleaver said.
At ISU, military veterans have resources for social support, counseling, and even one-on-one tutoring.
Casey Santee runs the Idaho State University Veterans Sanctuary, a place designed to put all the help a student veteran might need in one spot.
“It says something about the community we live in. We live in a place where this is possible. A lot of other places don’t have the networks of veterans,” Santee said.
