Vehicles burglarized in Idaho Falls

Vehicles were burglarized at various locations in Idaho Falls late Monday and early Tuesday morning.

The Idaho Falls Police Department said the vehicles were on Jefferson Avenue, Fremont Avenue, Energy Drive, Troy Avenue and South 25th Street. Police responded to seven cases.

In some cases, windows were broken out to gain entry, police said Wednesday.

Items reported taken included a .22 semi-automatic handgun, wallet, CDs and other miscellaneous items.
Anyone with information about these burglaries is asked to contact the IFPD at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.

The IFPD reminded residents to lock their vehicle doors and to not keep valuable items inside their vehicles.
