Man arrested in Idaho Falls bank robbery

A man was arrested in connection the April robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank in Idaho Falls.

J.D. Collier, 57, of Idaho Falls was arrested Thursday afternoon on charges of burglary and robbery.

Collier was served a warrant at the Bonneville County Jail, where he has been held on methamphetamine-related charges since August.

Police said was the person who robbed the bank on First Street on April 13. They said the suspect took cash from the till after he passed a note to the teller demanding money. They told Local News 8 in April that the note also said the suspect had a bomb. He was described as being about 6 feet tall, medium build and in his early 40s wearing a black jacket, khaki pants, a black ball cap with flames and a neck brace. The Idaho Falls Police Department said the arrest comes after months of investigation.
