Some closures lifted in Mustang Complex Fire

Fire managers are opening up areas east of Highway 93 that were closed due to the Mustang Complex Fire. As of Wednesday, all other closures are still in effect.

The highway remains open, but fire managers are warning people to slow down because of thick smoke between North Fork and Gibbonsville. The fire is burning on about 329,000 acres and is 20 percent contained.

The blaze was ignited by lightning in July.
