Air quality rated unhealthy

The smoke and haze continues to cause unhealthy air conditions in the region.

The Idaho Department of Quality issued an advisory Friday morning stating all open burning is banned in Bannock, Bingham, Caribou and Power counties.

The smoke is coming from the many fires burning in the northwest and central Idaho.

IDEQ said with the unhealthy conditions, people should limit their outdoor activities, especially if they have asthma or other breathing issues.

IDEQ is forecasting the smoke could lift from the region because of changing weather conditions.
