Man leads deputies on high-speed chase through Idaho Falls

A high-speed chase Idaho Falls on Tuesday afternoon ended with deputies backing off the pursuit.

Bonneville County deputies attempted to pull over a man for a stalking-related incident shortly after 3 p.m., and he took off at a high speed. The sheriff’s office said that when deputies had the license plate and a description of the car, they backed off, due to the dangerous nature of a high-speed chase through town.

A witness said two unmarked police cars were chasing white car going west on First Street in Idaho Falls.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the case.
