3 arrested in Rafter J car burglaries
Teton County, Wyo., sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men and one boy in connection with a series of car break-ins in the Rafter J subdivision Wednesday. The sheriff’s office said the three broke into at least five unlocked vehicles and took numerous personal items.
The two were identified as Anthony Moss and Coleman Ernst, both 19 of Jackson, and a boy.
Moss was charged with one count of aggravated battery, five counts of felony burglary, one count of felony possession of criminal tools and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.
Ernst was charged with five counts of felony burglary and one count of felony possession of criminal tools.
The boy was released to his parents and will also be charged with five counts of burglary and felony possession of criminal tools.
According to a sheriffs office news release, the three were confronted by a homeowner before they fled on foot.One of the adults sustained an ankle injury after falling into a ditch while running away from the landowner. He was transported to St. John’s Medical Center for treatment before being transported to jail.
Investigation by the Teton County Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson Police Department is under way.There may be more charges for all three suspects.
