Yellowstone visitation down 1.6 percent in September

A downward trend in tourist numbers continued at Yellowstone National Park in September. The National Park Service reported the park saw 527,610 recreational visitors in September, down 1.6 percent from last year. That is still the third highest visitation ever recorded for the month.

So far this calendar year, the park has recorded 3,238,128 recreational visitors which is up 1.5 percent compared to the same time a year ago.
