Ucon city council votes to annex Cives
The Ucon city council voted Wednesday to annex Cives Steel Company’s new plant into the city, provided they put up a tree line and comply with safety and cleanliness guidelines.
The council will also change zoning and the city’s comprehensive plan to allow Cives to come in as a commercial manufacturer.
It was a packed meeting with almost 100 people in attendance.
The council will hold a special meeting on Oct. 17 further discuss their decision.
