Police say suspect paid fines with counterfeit bills

Pocatello police said they have identified a suspect who tried to pass counterfeit money at the Bannock County Courthouse.

They said Wednesday that the suspect paid off fines with cash. But courthouse officials discovered later the bills used to pay those fines were counterfeit.

The name of the suspect was not released.
