Police: Man steals credit card, car

Idaho Falls police said Monday that a man already in jail on unrelated charges was served warrants for grand theft and possession of a stolen financial transaction card.

The warrants were served on Casey William Clark, 37, at the Bonneville County Jail on Friday.

Police said the warrants stem from two separate investigations.

On Oct. 4, a credit card was stolen from Shakas Convenience Store located at 1520 Grandview in Idaho Falls. Video surveillance showed a man taking a credit card from the store. He was later identified as Clark.

On Oct. 9, a 2005 Dodge Neon was reported stolen from outside the Broadway Ford body shop at 605 Nevada Ave. in Idaho Falls.

On Thursday, Clark was arrested by U.S. Marshals at 125 College in Idaho Falls. The Marshals reported they had been in pursuit of Clark in the Dodge Neon. The Dodge Neon was found parked behind 125 College at the time of Clark’s arrest. The car had been spray painted black.
