Blackfoot boil order lifted

A boil order covering a portion of the city of Blackfoot was lifted at 9 a.m. Monday.

Water Superintendent Richard Magnum said two water-quality tests conducted over the weekend came back clear with no sign of the E. coli bacteria that prompted concern last week. The city had to pass two consecutive tests to counter a boil order issued Friday.

The area affected included Mitchell Lane all the way down Fisher to Clifford and the eastern side of the city.

This was the first boil order since 1997 for Blackfoot.
