Police ID victim in deadly pedestrian accident
Police have identified the 53-year-old Idaho Falls man killed in a van-pedestrian accident Sunday night. The victim was Martin Rodriguez, police said Tuesday.
Idaho Falls Police Lt. Kay Edwards said the incident happened at about 9 p.m. in the 3200 block of Lindsay Boulevard near a dog park.
He said the 49-year-old driver’s vehicle struck Rodriguez while he was walking in the street. Police identified the driver Tuesday asNicky L. Bateman. Bateman was driving a Ford Aerostar van.
The incident is still under investigation.
