Man arrested in Jackson bank robbery
Police have arrested the man they believe robbed the U.S. Bank branch in Jackson, Wyo., on New Year’s Eve.
Corey Allan Donaldson, 39, was arrested on a federal warrant Tuesday in Clinton, Utah, . He was released from the Davis County Jail on Wednesday and transported to Cheyenne, Wyo., by U.S. Marshals.
Jackson Police Lt. Cole Nethercott told Local News 8 on Friday that officers have been working with witnesses since the robbery. He said one of those witnesses discovered where Donaldson was staying and notified authorities.
Police said Donaldson is an Australian native, but is a U.S. citizen. Previously, witnesses had said the person who robbed the bank spoke with a strong South African accent.
No one inside the bank on Powerhorn Lane was hurt during the robbery. Donaldson allegedly left the bank on foot, though police had associated him with a Toyota Tundra.
